Antonio Pappano “conducts” The Great Beauty
In a double dream atmosphere, Antonio Pappano and the Orchestra of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia have imagined a new soundtrack on the unedited footage of some of the scenes of the Oscar-winning film, “The Great Beauty”, by director Paolo Sorrentino. Antonio Pappano dreams of returning to his Rome to greet his musicians and his audience and his dream overlaps with that of Jep (Toni Servillo) who, in a roundup of evocative images, goes around some of the most iconic places of the Eternal City.
