The Radisson Blu es. Hotel, situated in the heart of Rome in Quartiere Esquilino, is ushering in a new phase for their 7th floor rooftop pool and lounge bar with a high spec makeover thanks to director Gianluca Capone. Now even more chic and stylish, the location has attracted many Hollywood directors and has held countless glamorous photo shoots in recent years.
The site is coveted by film makers who use the lavish design space and clean lines acting as a malleable backdrop to any scene’s requirements. Perhaps the most famous example would be the filming of Ocean’s Twelve by director Sodebergh with cinema icons Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and George Clooney who shot the Capoeira laser scene here in 2004 with actor Vincent Cassel. Italian films shot in this sought-after location include Caos Calmo (Nanni Moretti), Manuale d’Amore 2 (Giovanni Veronesi), L’Amore Ritorna (Sergio Rubini), Io Loro e Lara (Carlo Verdone) among many others. TV ads have been filmed here by brands looking for an voguish setting in the Eternal City such as Seiko, Martini, Campari, Golf Volkswagen and Trenitalia. t doesn’t stop there – this place has even hosted music videos and TV shows.
Recently the location has also added the title of venue to its impressive CV which has now been unveiled to the public. Till September, every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday head to 7Rooftop for Radisson Blu’s exclusive rooftop aperitivo. Many surprises await you 30 meters above the air in the beating heart of the Esquilino neighbourhood. Art by Federico Paris, music and food merge to become three protagonists in this exclusive location where each time different concepts and enterteinment will be in store for you.
To top it off, Radisson Blu Es also boasts a top floor state-of-the-art Wellness Spa and fitness centre, as well as a restaurant – Ristorante Sette – and a bar – Bar Zest – where you can savour delicious Mediterranean flavours.
