A great consignment shop in Rome
One of the first second-hand/consignment stores to open in Rome, Moll Flanders in Monti is ushering in a new wave of cool consignment style.
Named after Daniel Defoe’s famous novel, this “maison de recouture” consigns and sells new and used contemporary designer clothing, shoes and accessories for both men and women at unbeatable prices. The vibe is casual and friendly and the space is filled with an array of well-known designers such as Ann Demeulmeester, Rick Owens, Yohji Yamamoto, Martin Margiela, Sandro, and many more.
Racks contain special limited edition pieces as well as articles of brand-name clothing you can no longer find in stores, while the floor space is covered with a cool selection of barely worn designer shoes. High-quality designer sunglasses, jewellery from local Italian artisans, (including Andrea Montelli and 21 Nodi) as well as one-of-a-kind clutches can be found on the table in the center.
With a supply of clothing that is constantly replenished by trendy Romans, Moll Flanders is a great place to stop in regularly (it’s even open on Sundays) to check out new arrivals and invest in high quality pieces.
In addition, the Moll Flanders’ Facebook page regularly posts recent acquisitions, so you can stay up to date on the best of Rome’s second-hand scene. Information for potential consigners can also be found on the store’s Facebook page and website.
