A cozy and cool bar in the centre of Rome
You want somewhere cosy, cool, in centro but hidden from the tacky tourist traps around Campo dei Fiori? From the moment I stepped inside this place I was smitten. Is it the sexy lighting, the mismatched timber tables, vintage couches and artwork, the fact that they do fresh fruit and vegetables juices, brilliant coffee, international treats like cheesecake, brownies, curry and rice or chicken and guacamole panino, or the eclectic crowd of local Italians? This is my new favourite hangout. With lunch dishes all around €5/6, free wifi, a generous aperitivo of tapas Tue-Sat from 7pm with €7 drinks, and a DJ set most Friday nights, this place has reasonable prices but an atmosphere that is perfect for either studying, meeting for lunch, or a night out with friends drinking until well after midnight. This is why I love Rome; places like this that are laidback and local but with decor and a menu that feel molto international.
