Accademia di Santa Cecilia opens again to public with a series of six concerts in the Sala S. Cecilia
Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia is one of the oldest and most prestigious musical institutions in the world.
Founded in 1908, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia has been conducted by some of the major musical figures of the 20th century: from Mahler, Strauss, Stravinsky, Toscanini and Abbado. With Sir Antonio Pappano in the role of Music Director since 2005, the stature of the Orchestra has enjoyed extraordinary success, building an international reputation for itself.
From May 13 to June 12, the Accademia will have 6 concerts in the Sala Santa Cecilia, located in the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.
In accordance to COVID-19 regulations, concerts and orchestras have now resumed their activities in yellow zones such as Latium. Indoor venues are allowed to be open at 50% capacity until max 500 people, and 1000 in outdoor venues. Tickets must be booked in advance!
